Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Apparel Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end development and production of apparel lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of apparel projects, from design concept through production and delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of apparel projects, including product development, sourcing, production, and delivery, while adhering to established deadlines, spec, and budgets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design/PD and production teams to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with material and trim suppliers to ensure production schedules are on track, materials meet quality standards, and pricing aligns with the budget.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet the required quality standards by coordinating with the quality assurance team for testing and compliance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure that financial objectives are met while maintaining product integrity.
- Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of each phase from design approval to final delivery.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues early in the process, propose solutions, and adjust plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget status, and potential risks or delays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of project management experience in the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of the apparel production process, including design, fabric sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with international vendors and captive manufacturers.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in the fashion industry.
- Knowledge of apparel production software (e.g., PLM, Adobe Illustrator).
